We started off with a visit to a local food market where the kids saw some new treats that they were and weren't willing to try. The rice cakes were a huge hit, but the fried crickets not so much. David actually tried it! The sights sounds and smells were amazing. You could buy a full chicken, head, beak, feet and all or 4 jumping frogs all tied together. The kids thought they were selling pets!
Off to Chiang Mai zip lining we went. This was a new adventure for the Glassman family, Jen and Allison. This was not your average zip line! We had 31 stations and the longest line was 400 meters long over a river. Now that it is done, we are happy to report that all of the kids made it safely with smiles and the boys and Allison voluntarily went upside down.
Lots of zipping and climbing earned us a fabulous lunch and beer! I am happy to report that selling beer is now permitted again. Thank you, Buddha.
Our last stop was one of the rural Wats that is only 60 years old and still being built. The views were stunning and the craftsmanship unreal.
We ended the day with a delicious dinner in the hotel as their only patrons! The kids thought we rented out the entire restaurant just for us!
